Cover/Editorial Design
Designed and art directed the New York Times best-seller annual Almanac for many years. This 368-page book has 4 annual editions along with special sales editions. This project required high-level organizational skills, team and schedule management, continuous collaboration, and a wide range of design skills. The book is made up of newly designed annual content, repurposed content from various sources requiring extensive redesign, and reoccurring content. Each international edition has its edition-specific content related to the market it is for, as well as special edition covers and posters when specified. For our 10-year special edition in 2020, I took on the massive undertaking of a full redesign of the entire book to bring the cover design and interior to a more modern, fresh feel. It was a very challenging and rewarding project to be a part of every year and pushed the development of a wide range of project management skills and design abilities that I have today. Below is a sampling of some of the variety of content featured in the Almanac.
